Gallatin Valley Earth Day continues its annual event series preceding the spring festival with another presentation this month. “Solar Power for Cows & Crops” will be held Wednesday, February 11th, at Museum of the Rockies. Learn why Montana’s farmers and ranchers are embracing solar with the 7pm talk.
The panel discussion will feature Montana ranchers and farmers – Jen Saunders, Laurie Gaugler, John Wicks and Walter Schweitzer – and solar installer John Palm to discuss why and how ranchers are installing huge solar arrays.
Installing solar is easier than you think! Join to learn how to qualify for the federal tax credit and how a solar PV system can save overhead and operating costs in the short and long term. An investment for future generations, that helps families stay on the ranch or farm!

The solar talk will also be presented virtually for those who cannot attend. Find a registration link and additional event information at www.gallatinvalleyearthday.org. Details about other upcoming talks will be available through the website leading up to the April 19th festival.
Gallatin Valley Earth Day encourages local citizen action to help protect our planet from right here in the Gallatin Valley. The group came together in creation of a Bozeman festival that celebrates this vital work. Learn more by visiting the aforementioned website. •
