The Spring Fever is real with locals ready to get up and out of the house. Downtown Bozeman’s Eagles Bar remains home to the very best talent the Valley has to offer for their regular Wednesday acoustics and weekend jamming.
Singer/songwriter Hannah Jo Lally shows off her talents on April 5th. From the back roads of Eastern Washington, enjoy an evening of country cuts and distinctive originals. She draws influence from the likes of Suzy Bogguss and Charley Pride, Waylon Jennings and Mary Chapin Carpenter, among others.
Next up are The Love Darts on April 7th and 8th. The hard rock punk band got its start playing venues like the Haufbrau, having since grown into a fine-tuned project featuring some of Bozeman’s most energetic guitarists.
Poison Lovers guitarist and vocalist Robert Lethert delivers a solo show on April 12th. Expect a blend of old school country and contemporary Americana. His strong gravely voice will perfectly complement your evening at the downtown tavern.
Eagles favorites Bluebelly Junction are back April 14th and 15th. The “rockabilly” group brings an arsenal of originals and personalized covers. The high-energy band tends to veer away from slow jams, other than the occasional tune.
Also on April 15th, hip-hop artist Dizzy Wright performs in the Ballroom with support by Jarren Benton. Local acts Filth & Foul and Buckshot Killit will open the 7pm show. Dizzy is touring in support of his new compilation Live at Daddy Macs. Tickets range $25–$85 and are available in advance through Eventbrite.
Settle in for another night of acoustics on April 19th with music by Trygh. The solo bassist is known for his dark spin on the folk genre, inspired by the cold mountains of Montana.
The Disruptors take the stage with back-to-back performances on April 21st and 22nd. The high energy band does their darndest to get audiences singing along with their wide selection of rock n’ roll tunes from the ‘60s to now.
In the Ballroom on April 21st, Metallica tribute band Blistered Earth performs at 8pm. Playing classic songs ranging from “Kill ‘Em All” to selections from the band’s self-titled release, this tribute pays its respects to one of the greatest heavy metal bands of all time with the raw energy, showmanship, look and song selections that die-hard Metallica fans want to see and hear. Tickets are $20 and will be available at the door.
Jackson Holte performs solo on April 26th. Frontman of his rock n’ roll five-piece of the same name, expect an evening of modern roots music featuring earthy narrative songwriting and soaring blues guitar.
Closing out the first month of Spring is the original country rock of Dead Yellers on April 28th and 29th. Founded by frontman Peter King, the music follows a theme of courage in the face of adversity, delivered in an upbeat, western roots format, ultimately leaving the audience feeling hopeful and happy. Sometimes joined by fiddle, pedal steel, bass and harmonica, this group always brings something unique to their performances.
Take part in the Eagles’ weekly Bluegrass Jam Session on Monday nights. Take a seat and enjoy, or bring an instrument and join in! The event begins at 7pm.
Exercise your pipes with Karaoke Night sponsored by Bozeman’s Best Entertainment Group, setting up at FOE every Thursday. Sing your heart out and cheer on your friends! Sign-ups start at 9pm.
Make sure to check out Bridger Mountain Big Band on Sunday nights. The ensemble performs at 7pm. The 17-piece jazz orchestra celebrates the music of Duke Ellington, Count Basie and more, with original arrangements and music of all genres from the 1900s to today.
