Eagles hosts socially distanced sounds on Wednesdays, weekends
Live music has returned to the Eagles Bar, one of downtown’s longest-operating happy hour spots. Though the dance floor is closed to accommodate current health guidelines, local listeners will have plenty of tunes to pick from in the coming weeks. Here’s a look at what’s happening at FOE this month.
KneeJürk return Friday and Saturday, October 2nd and 3rd. The supersonic Southwest Montana duo incorporates the big band beat, performing the best toe tappin’ sing-alongs from the ‘60s to now.
Kristin Lundell takes the stage Wednesday, October 7th. The local singer/songwriter and guitarist performs catchy, melodic rock originals inspired by the likes of Veruca Salt, Juliana Hatfield and The Beatles. She’ll also have the audience singing along as she puts her spin on hits that span the decades.
After a pair of rockin’ shows by Dilly Dilly on Friday and Saturday, October 9th and 10th, Jessica Hegg steps in for the Wednesday evening set on October 14th. A solo performer known also as “Montana Sunshine,” she plays older rock and country in the style of Stevie Nicks along with heartfelt originals. Hegg is a Bozeman native and delivers with every performance.
Close 2 Toast is back on Friday and Saturday, October 16th and 17th. Formed from all the right elements found within the Gallatin Valley comes a band like no other, with songs to warm your heart, make you cry and dance (safely from your seat)!
The next midweek acoustics come courtesy of Mathias on Wednesday, October 28th. The Bozeman-based singer/songwriter has been playing music under the Big Sky for nearly two decades. With powerful vocals and a percussive guitar style, he’s known for his dynamic live performances full of acoustic folk, rock, and funk tunes. Mathias recorded his debut album, Walk Alone, with the help of Emmy Award-winning producer Jeremiah Slovarp.
Happy Halloween! Country rockers BlueBelly Junction will perform Friday and Saturday, October 30th and 31st. The “rockabilly” group brings an arsenal of originals and personalized covers. The high-energy band tends to veer away from slow jams, other than the occasional tune.
There’s no better Thirsty Thursday than one with Sunrise Karaoke, setting up at FOE weekly. Sing your heart out and cheer on your friends, but please watch your distance and dance from your seats!
Eagles Bar live music now begins at 8pm. Sets run until 10pm, and midnight on weekends. Note: announced acts subject to change. Head downtown for some great local music or stop in for a cold one – current hours are Wednesday through Saturday from 11am–midnight. •
