Everyone needs a trusty tavern for after-work libations to blow off some steam, with many flocking to Downtown Bozeman’s Eagles Bar for their fix. The established watering hole also features the very best talent the Valley has to offer with regular Wednesday acoustics and weekend jamming. Here’s a look at what’s happening in the coming weeks.
Local songwriter Peter King takes the stage October 11th. The Dead Yellers’ frontman gears his original lyrics around the human condition, love, war and self-control. His originals tell the story of honest, blue collar life in a small town. King’s influences range from the lonesome classic country sound to that of a DIY punk rock group.
Tsunami Funk bring back-to-back shows to the Eagles on Oct. 13th and 14th. The Bozeman-favorite group always packs the dance floor with Funk/R&B-rocking grooves. They play tunes from artists like Stevie Wonder, Pharrell Williams, Bruno Mars, Red Hot Chili Peppers, James Brown, Earth Wind & Fire, Sly & the Family Stone, Kool & the Gang, Van Morrison, Steely Dan, Bob Marley and many more!
On Oct. 18th, Greg Hall provides the live acoustics. Member of local band Dilly Dilly, expect stripped-down renditions of their rockin’ material as well as solo cuts. Head downtown for your midweek cold one and enjoy his musical stylings!
The Disruptors take the stage with back-to-back performances on Oct. 20th and 21st. The high energy band does their darndest to get audiences singing along with their wide selection of rock n’ roll tunes from the ‘60s to now.
Eagles favorites Bluebelly Junction are back Oct. 27th and 28th. The “rockabilly” group brings an arsenal of originals and personalized covers. The high-energy band tends to veer away from slow jams, other than the occasional tune.
Exercise your pipes with Karaoke Night sponsored by Bozeman’s Best Entertainment Group, setting up at FOE every Thursday. Sing your heart out and cheer on your friends! Sign-ups start at 9pm.
The Eagles hosts BINGO Night every Saturday beginning at 6pm. Round the troops and ready your dobbers for a night of friendly competition.
Make sure to check out Bridger Mountain Big Band on Sunday nights. The ensemble performs at 7pm. The 17-piece jazz orchestra celebrates the music of Duke Ellington, Count Basie and more, with original arrangements and music of all genres from the 1900s to today. Check them out on social media for performance announcements.
Acoustic Wednesdays start at 8pm and weekend bands are on at 9pm. Head downtown for some great live music or stop in to support your local Eagles any night of the week. •
