Downtown Bozeman’s Eagles Bar is ready to serve every night of the week. The local tavern is also home to a steady schedule of Wednesday acoustics and weekend jamming. Here’s who’s performing in the coming weeks.
Brian Kassay delivers a solo performance on May 7th. One of the Bird Dogs, the local musician mixes guitar, violin, keyboard and harmonica in creation of his unique, live-looping performances.
Enjoy the original country rock of Dead Yellers on May 9th and 10th. Founded by frontman Peter King, the music follows a theme of courage in the face of adversity, delivered in an upbeat, western roots format, ultimately leaving the audience feeling hopeful and happy. Sometimes joined by fiddle, pedal steel, bass and harmonica, this group always brings something unique to their performances.
Singer/songwriter Hannah Jo Lally shows off her talents on May 14th. From the back roads of Eastern Washington, enjoy an evening of country cuts and distinctive originals. She draws influence from the likes of Suzy Bogguss and Charley Pride, Waylon Jennings and Mary Chapin Carpenter, among others.
Check out The Dirty Dirty on May 16th and 17th. The local trio dishes out swampy blues, driving rock, and space soul to please your earholes. Dan Singer (bass), Jeff Miesbauer (guitar), and Ian Jarvi (drums) pool their talents to perform a selection of originals and classics.
Mario Miner Jr. of two-piece rock n’ roll project Gallatin Ghost Train performs on May 21st. Expect an evening of blues-skewing tunes and some original songs.
Billings-based FlavaTown will bring down the house on May 23rd and 24th. The multi-piece is known for their brand of flavorful old school soul, R&B and funk pop grooves. The band features Scott Morales, Alex Nauman, Erik Olsen, Gabe Bonvicino and Isaiah Morales.
A member of local “rockabilly” group Bluebelly Junction, Levi Main delivers a solo show to Eagles-goers on May 28th. De-stress midweek with a drink and the stylings of this talented local musician.
The Love Darts close out the month on May 30th and 31st. The hard rock punk band got its start playing venues like the Haufbrau, having since grown into a fine-tuned project featuring some of Bozeman’s most energetic guitarists. Take a listen to their self-professed “sloppy rock n’ roll” on their EP, Girly.
Laugh it up every Monday with the Eagles’ Comedy Open Mic Night. Whether you’re a spectator or have a few jokes of your own, sets begin at 8pm.
Exercise your pipes with the voted ‘Best’ Karaoke Night in town, sponsored by Bozeman’s Best Entertainment Group, setting up at FOE every Thursday. Sing your heart out and cheer on your friends! Sign-ups start at 9pm.
The Eagles hosts BINGO Night on Saturday evenings, with the game beginning at 6pm. Grab your friends and dobber of choice for a chance to win some extra bucks.
Make sure to check out Bridger Mountain Big Band on Sunday nights. The ensemble performs at 7pm. The 17-piece jazz orchestra celebrates the music of Duke Ellington, Count Basie and more, with original arrangements and music of all genres from the 1900s to today.
