Rock, roll & relaxation w/ a weekend trip to Chico
Thaw out with a winter getaway to Chico Hot Springs. With fantastic live entertainment in the Saloon every Friday and Saturday night, you can kick up your feet – and soak them too! Here’s a look at what’s headed to the Paradise Valley watering hole.
Rock, reggae, funk, and country group Downtime will take the stage Friday and Saturday, February 15th and 16th. The Billings-based band originally formed as a three-piece acoustic cover group. Marco Castro, Gerrick Phillips, and Josh Moore earned their initial reputation, but the band has since grown to a full electric outfit adding Dennis Mailloux (bass guitar) and Luke Kestner (drums). The group will keep the party going, so be sure to rest up before you catch one of these shows!
GrooveWax brings the entertainment Friday and Saturday, February 22nd and 23rd. The Gallatin Valley band is composed of former Jamelution members Cindy Damjanovich, Junior Damjanovich, and Nik Damjanovich, plus SaddleTramp’s Gary Peterson. They play rock, country, and blues.
Under the Bleachers rock the house Friday and Saturday, March 1st and 2nd. The band consists of Scott Williams (guitar), Tim Borsberry (drums), and Pat Borsberry (bass). They have an intensely diverse song list, a result of their diverse origins. Tim and Pat hail from Helena, and Scott is a transplant from Los Angeles who grew up in Southern Arizona. A look over the band’s song list will show they keep up with today’s hits – and have been playing yesterday’s hits since they were a “hit” the first time!
Chico Saloon music begins at 9pm, unless otherwise noted. Chico Hot Springs is located in Pray, 20 miles south of Livingston. Come sip, soak, and swing! For more information, visit www.chicohotsprings.com. •
