If you’re seeking the very best Montana craft beers and artisan pizza, look no further than Bridger Brewing. In addition to its fantastic menu items, the family-friendly brewer also hosts Music & Mussels every Wednesday and {Pints with Purpose} every Monday. Here’s a look at some of the upcoming acts and nonprofits.
Wednesday nights from 5:30–8pm, Bridger Brewing hosts Music & Mussels! Come enjoy some live music and a half pound of succulent, steamed mussels with house-made sweet Italian sausage, tomatoes, garlic, and chili flakes, topped with parsley and tomato salsa.
One man soul band Dan Dubuque will play for brewery patrons on Wednesday, April 18th. Dan plays a Weissenborn lap slide guitar as a percussive instrument, as well as a rhythm and lead instrument. The son of a Native Aymara Indian from Bolivia and a Caucasian American from Montana, he brings a passion for all styles of music.
Walcrik is set for Wednesday, April 25th. Andrew Morehouse and Tim Baucom have been playing and writing together for the better part of a decade, with their debut EP available now. This Bozeman-based folk/bluegrass duo plays original, traditional, and cover music.
Colorado-based You Knew Me When will provide the tunes on Wednesday, May 2nd. Outfitted with an array of instruments, the folk/rock duo present a full band sound. While blending their vocals, Karisa provides the piano, ukulele, glockenspiel, and percussive elements, as Cie supplies the guitar and other rhythmic nuances. The cumulative result is a musical style and live show that blends a singer/songwriter soul with a rock n’ roll mentality. Into the Looking Glass is the duo’s third studio album and is available now. At times upbeat and folksy, at times brooding and reflective, the album aims at introspection for the couple’s continued journey while sharing experiences gained from over five years of nonstop touring. Looking ahead, Lazy Owl String Band bring a performance on Wednesday, May 9th. A diverse group of musicians, the Lazy Owls’ influences range from jazz and blues to punk rock. However varied their influences, they’re undeniably steeped in an old-timey traditional style. The group encapsulates an ethic of hard driving, whiskey drinking, boot-stomping music with infectious energy that’s sure to get you moving. The band’s repertoire is heavily rooted in original material that pays homage to the tradition from which it was begotten. Bridger Brewing not only takes pride in its stellar menu items, but also in the community it serves. The brewery hosts {Pints with Purpose} every Monday evening from 5–8pm where $1 of every pint sold will be donated to a featured local nonprofit. Here’s a look at some of the nonprofits on the calendar in the coming weeks. Come enjoy a house-made brew and be charitable in the process! On Monday, April 16th, monies raised will directly benefit Quail Hollow Coop Day School. Founded in 2007, this growing parent cooperative school is located one mile south of Four Corners. Quail Hollow Coop provides a high quality, progressive Reggio Emilia program for children birth through six years. Learn more at www.quailhollowschool.org. Learn about Ocean Media Institute on Monday, April 23rd. The global media collective serves to create, educate, and advocate for the protection of the ocean. Proceeds from Monday, April 30th will aid the efforts of the Gallatin Valley Skijoring Association (GVSJA). With its roots in Scandinavia, skijoring has transformed into an action packed competition where a horse and rider pull a skier at a fast pace through a course featuring gates, jumps, and rings. Modern skijoring combines Montana’s signature ski heritage with its cowboy roots into a wild, fast paced, spectacular event. GVSJA works to bring one of the largest skijoring races to Bozeman.
