The dog days of summer have arrived and Downtown Bozeman’s Eagles Bar is ready to serve it up cold every night of the week. The local tavern is also home to a steady schedule of Wednesday acoustics and weekend jamming. Here’s who’s performing in the coming weeks.
Check out The Dirty Dirty on July 11th and 12th. The local trio dishes out swampy blues, driving rock, and space soul to please your earholes. Dan Singer (bass), Jeff Miesbauer (guitar), and Ian Jarvi (drums) pool their talents to perform a selection of originals and classics.
Luke Flansburg fronts a solo show on July 16th. He’ll bring a wide variety of music ranging from funk to rock to blues. Also a member of Pinky & the Floyd, Tsunami Funk and MOTH, prepare for a fun set of covers and originals that will span the genres.
The Love Darts perform on July 18th and 19th. The hard rock punk band got its start playing venues like the Haufbrau, having since grown into a fine-tuned project featuring some of Bozeman’s most energetic guitarists. Take a listen to their self-professed “sloppy rock n’ roll” on their EP, Girly.
Take in the acoustic stylings of local favorite Mathias on July 23rd. With powerful vocals and a percussive guitar style, he’s known for his dynamic live performances full of acoustic folk, rock, and funk tunes.
Billings-based FlavaTown will bring down the house on July 25th and 26th. The multi-piece is known for their brand of flavorful old school soul, R&B and funk pop grooves. The band features Scott Morales, Alex Nauman, Erik Olsen, Gabe Bonvicino and Isaiah Morales.
Closing out the month on July 30th, Greg Hall provides the live acoustics. Member of local band Dilly Dilly, expect stripped-down renditions of their rockin’ material as well as solo cuts. Head downtown for your midweek cold one and enjoy his musical stylings!
Exercise your pipes with the voted ‘Best’ Karaoke Night in town, sponsored by Bozeman’s Best Entertainment Group, setting up at FOE every Thursday. Sing your heart out and cheer on your friends! Sign-ups start at 9pm.
Make sure to check out Bridger Mountain Big Band on Sunday nights. The ensemble performs at 7pm. The 17-piece jazz orchestra celebrates the music of Duke Ellington, Count Basie and more, with original arrangements and music of all genres from the 1900s to today.
