Community-centric American Legion hosts live music, BINGO & trivia
Downtown Bozeman’s American Legion is a great place to relax with friends and a cold one any day of the week. They also host area-favorite bands on regular weekends, just in case you’re not feeling like laying low.
GrooveWax brings the entertainment Friday and Saturday, September 6th and 7th. The Gallatin Valley band is comprised of former Jamelution members Cindy Damjanovich, Junior Damjanovich, and Nik Damjanovich, plus SaddleTramp’s Gary Peterson. They play rock, country, and blues.
SlomoJoe is set for Friday and Saturday, September 20th and 21st. The band is a three-piece rock n’ roll and Americana group featuring a few of Montana’s finest musicians. SlomoJoe is Joe Knapp (guitar), John Sanders (bass), and D. Ruggles (drums).
Looking ahead, Cabin Fever take the stage for two lively shows on Friday and Saturday, September 27th and 28th. From Manhattan, the band plays a combination of original music, ‘70s rock, and a wide variety of dance tunes from Dwight-style country to Pink Floyd. This five-piece-plus band showcases strong vocal harmonies and a wide variety of instrumentals. Members include Lonny Walker (rhythm guitar), Steve Loessberg (lead guitar), Larry Greenbaum (bass, lead guitar), Josh Fike (drums), Jon Gerhts (bass guitar), Ross Barrett (percussion), and Lane Quandt (harmonica).
Whether you need to brush up on your favorite songs or have every lyric committed to memory, the Legion hosts Sunrise Karaoke every Monday night beginning at 9pm. There’s no better way to close out the first day in the school or workweek than with Sunrise!
Located at 225 E Main, the American Legion opens at 11am daily with Happy Hour from 4–6pm. Tomaso’s on Main continues to serve Mexican fare and traditional pub food, Tuesday through Saturday from 4:30–8:30pm. Thursdays are Ladies Night with buy one, get one drink specials for the gals starting at 9pm. The Legion also hosts BINGO on Wednesday nights at 7pm and Trivia Saturdays at 7pm.
