Chamber music fest unfolds with four summer performances
The Montana Chamber Music Society (MCMS) celebrates its annual Montana Chamber Music Festival on July 8th and 9th. The Friday performance will be held at Livingston’s Shane Lalani Center, followed by the Bozeman program on Saturday at Reynolds Recital Hall on the Montana State University campus. Both begin at 7:30pm.
This year’s program will include:
– Mozart E-flat Major Piano Quartet performed by Michele Levin, Angella Ahn, Karen Dreyfus & Sara Stalnaker
– Darius Milhaud’s Le Chiminee due Roi Renee (1939) performed by Bridger Winds: Kathleen Reynolds, Bill Scharnberg, Sue Makeever, Sandy Stimson & Greg Young
– Brahms G Minor Piano Quartet performed by Michele Levin, Peter Zazofsky, Karen Dreyfus & Sara Stalnaker
The festival continues with additional performances at 4pm on July 10th at St. Timothy’s Memorial Chapel in Anaconda, and at 7pm at Helena’s St. Paul’s United Methodist Church. The latter performance is free and open to the public.
Admission to all Montana Chamber Music Society performances is $30 for adults, $20 for seniors, and $10 for students. Tickets may be purchased at www.montanachambermusicsociety.org. These are also available at the door, depending on availability. Net proceeds from these programs support MCMS’s mission to present great chamber music performances throughout Montana year-round. •
