Verge Theater is delighted to present a heartwarming night of musical theater with You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown (Revised) at the Emerson Center for the Arts & Culture. Performances will be held April 24th through May 4th. Shows Thursday to Saturday begin at 7pm, with Sunday matinees to follow at 3pm.
The heartwarming musical comedy brings the iconic Peanuts gang to life on the stage, offering audiences of all ages a delightful mix of music, humor and life lessons.
Based on the comic strip “Peanuts” by Charles M. Schulz, You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown (Revised) follows a day in the life of Charlie Brown and his friends, including the bossy Lucy, the philosophical Linus, the music-loving Schroeder, the ever-spirited Sally, and of course, Snoopy, the imaginative beagle. This updated version of the beloved musical includes new songs and additional scenes that enhance the charm of the original while staying true to Schulz’s timeless characters.
The local production is directed by Kari Doll, whose vision brings fresh energy to this classic story, supported by vibrant choreography by Tess Carr. With a talented cast of local performers, the show promises an unforgettable theatrical experience. This production is a celebration of childhood wonder and the little moments that make life extraordinary.
And coming soon to Verge… enjoy some splendid kids theater with The Twelve Dancing Princesses May 9th–10th, a teen theater production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream May 16th–18th, as well as the return of the New Works Fest May 30th–June 1st. See host website for additional details.
