Scott H Biram delivers a midweek show on Wednesday, November 6th. Unleashing a fervent display of conviction through, not only the genuine blues, classic country, bluegrass, and rock n’ roll, Biram seals the deal with punk, heavy metal, and anything else he wants to. He’s “The Dirty Old One Man Band.” His live shows deliver a take no prisoners attitude, a stomping, pulsing John Lee Hooker-channeling, and cockeyed tales of black water baptisms and murder, all while romanticizing the on-the-road lifestyle. He comes to Bozeman in support of his latest release, The One & Only Scott H Biram.
Local artist Jacob Rountree is set to perform on Friday, November 8th. The alternative/indie songwriter is contemplative yet playful, with a lyric-forward style reflective of his love for philosophy, poetry and quantum physics. His contagious soul presents itself through raw vocals of impressive range and beautiful timbre, mesmerizing percussive finger-style guitar and a balance of catchy yet complex, polyrhythms. Rountree’s unique production style is that of Bob Dylan meets Pink Floyd, ranking the integrity of his music with contemporary artists such as Bon Iver, Ben Howard and Shakey Graves. Rountree released his second full-length, As I See It, in 2022, followed with his Truth or Dare EP earlier this year.
And on Wednesday, November 13th, enjoy a performance by Ken Pomeroy. The Oklahoma native brings an earthy presence to the world of Folk/Americana music. Captivating audiences through her unfeigned storytelling and seasoned musicianship, she is carving out a more veritable path for herself as a flourishing artist. Influenced by John Denver, Buck Meek, Jake Xerxes Fussell, and Gillian Welch, Pomeroy is inspired by the voices of a preceding generation. She embraces her journey as an artist with a renewed sense of honesty and self-discovery. Her unique sound, anchored in her Native American heritage, resonates with fans who value genuine, raw talent and the intimate connection only music can foster.
Later this month, Alex Cuba fronts back-to-back shows on November 15th and 16th. He is a Grammy/Latin Grammy and Juno winning singer-songwriter/producer and musician. His musical evolution for years was all about searching for the simplicity and soul in Cuban music – taking apart the complex arrangements, mixing it with North American influences, adopting the melodic simplicity of pop music, looking to Cuban folk traditions for inspiration. Cuba is always exploring, always creating something fresh and new, and always, it seems, getting it just right.
