Brunch a melodic affair with Paradise Valley performances
Weekend bites are best washed down with your libation of choice, and both are better with a side of tunes. Pine Creek’s popular Brunch Live Music Series is held on select Saturdays and Sundays this winter. The tunes begin at 11am and run until 1pm.
Daniel Kosel opens the month on January 2nd. His poetry, soulful vocals and guitar work make a delightful listening experience best described as “Crues Music,” a self-styled blend of country, rock and blues.
Blake Brightman follows on January 9th. The singer/songwriter’s stylings fall somewhere between country western and Mississippi blues, with her own modern spin. She fronts a five-piece of the same name.
Josh Moore is next up on January 10th. The North Carolina native is the lead guitarist of Laney Lou & the Bird Dogs, also contributing his impressive vocals. Moore’s solo acoustic show features a healthy blend of originals and covers. Sometimes described as a musically gifted goofball, he’ll bring a mix of good-feelin’ folk and bluegrass to the Lodge.
One half of Americana duo Sweet Sage, Amanda Stewart brings an intimate show to the Lodge on January 16th. She performs acoustic, alternative and country covers – not to mention plenty of her own original music.
And on January 24th, Luke Flansburg entertains. He’ll bring a wide variety of music ranging from funk to rock to blues. Also a member of Pinky & the Floyd, Tsunami Funk and MOTH, prepare for a fun set of covers and originals that will span the genres.
Local songwriter Peter King provides the tuneage on January 30th. The Dead Yellers’ frontman gears his original lyrics around the human condition, love, war and self-control. His originals tell the story of honest, blue collar life in a small town. King’s influences range from the lonesome classic country sound to that of a DIY punk rock group.
Ryan Acker finishes off the first month of 2021 on January 31st. He’s the guitar-playing, banjo-plucking songwriter of the Minneapolis-based Americana band The Last Revel. Acker plays a healthy blend of acoustic versions of the full band’s songs, one or two fun covers, and some originals.
These shows are FREE of admission, but space is limited. Current health guidelines will be observed in the dining area. Performance dates subject to change.
