Bridger’s celebratory Torchlight Parade welcomes 2020, Dual GS race series announced Bridger Bowl is getting a head start on the new year with its annual Torchlight Parade on Monday, December 30th. After a day of skiing, enjoy a delicious spaghetti dinner and marvel as the Bridger snowsports instructors snake down the hill holding torchlights followed by a fantastic fireworks display in the base area. Dinner begins at 4pm in the Jim Bridger Lodge with the parade and fireworks starting at nightfall. Cost is $7 for children and $14 for adults. Live music will be provided by the Hooligans. Big Sky Brewing will be on hand with sudsy brews and swag.
Bridger has also announced the early 2020 return of its Community Dual GS Series, open to citizen racers of all ages and boards – alpine skis, tele skis, or snowboards. Compete against your friends! Take one run on the blue course and one run on the red course. Best of two timed runs. Upcoming races are set for January 4th, 11th, 12th, 18th and 19th. A bonus race, the Spring Equinox GS, will take place March 15th. A 10am registration deadline precedes course inspection at 11am and race time from noon–2pm. Awards to follow in Jim Bridger Lodge at 4pm with fantastic door prizes. Competitors are granted entry into the March 15th Grand Prize Drawing.
Cost is $15 per event or $80 for the series, on the first event day only. Prior to race day, sign up online with a credit card or in the Marketing Office in Jim Bridger Lodge with cash, check or credit card. Race Day Registration also takes place in Jim Bridger Lodge, from 8:30–10am. Signature of a parent or legal guardian is required for those under the age of 18.
Bridger Bowl operates a FREE ski bus service to and from the mountain, with multiple pick-up times daily. Operating on Saturday and Sunday only, the Weekend Bus picks up at MSU’s Strand Union Building and the Gallatin County Fairgrounds (Oak St. Entrance) throughout the entire ski season. Additionally, a special Holiday Bus will be in service weekdays from Dec. 23rd through Jan. 3rd (excluding Christmas Day). This bus will also pick up at the SUB and Fairgrounds.
