Bridger Bowl continues to sponsor slopeside events for the area’s competitive this winter. The Terrain Park Jam will take place Saturday, February 22nd with race times from 11am–2pm. This two-run slopestyle competition features a variety of rails, rollers, boxes, banks and barrels.
The event is designed for skiers and snowboarders of all ages. The Jam is $15 for all registrants. Race day registration will take place in Jim Bridger Lodge from 8:30–10am. The award ceremony will take place at 4pm in the Lodge featuring medals, door prizes and entry into the grand prize drawing. Patrol Band will bring the live music. Inverted aerial maneuvers are prohibited during Bridger Bowl competitions. If under the age of 18, signature of a parent or legal guardian is required. Valid season pass or lift ticket required for competitors. Discounted lift rates available for competitors.
This Leap Year, the Ride & Seek Scavenger Hunt will benefit the Bridger Bowl Foundation on Saturday, February 29th beginning at 10am. Hunt for checkpoints around the mountain, visiting at least four of six to validate scavenger card. Present completed card to the events crew by 2:30pm for a chance at fantastic door prizes.
This family friendly event is $10 per person and is limited to 200 participants. Day of registration in Jim Bridger Lodge from 8:30–10am, depending on slot availability. Post-hunt celebrations include music by Tsunami Funk and brews by KettleHouse in the Lodge at 4pm.
Looking ahead, the Point and Chute film festival is back on Saturday, March 14th. This film competition is pre-juried with a public screening of the top seven films. Go out, shoot some footage, edit the story and enter! The submission deadline for all entrants is 4pm on Saturday, March 7th.
Entry into this competition is $20 per filmmaker and open to anyone with a camera. Films have a maximum length of 5 minutes and must be entirely shot within Bridger boundaries. These will be judged on the following criteria: storyline, creativity, soundtrack, editing and overall impression. Please see full list of requirements before entering.
The public screening will take place in Jim Bridger Lodge on March 14th at 4:30pm. Winners will receive cash prizes, door prizes, and entry into the grand prize drawing.
Bridger Bowl operates a FREE ski bus service to and from the mountain, with multiple pick-up times. Operating on Saturday and Sunday only, the Weekend Bus picks up at MSU’s Strand Union Building and the Gallatin County Fairgrounds (Oak entrance) throughout the entire ski season. The newly added Midweek Bus is now in service Wednesday to Friday, also picking up at the SUB and Fairgrounds. Additionally, a special Holiday Bus will be in service on Feb. 17th. This bus will also pick up at the SUB and Fairgrounds. Also available, the Livingston Bus now runs on Saturdays, picking up at the Park County Fairgrounds at 7:45am only.
