With the holidays behind us, it’s time to put those gift certificates to use! Whether you were lucky enough to be gifted a few Bridger Brewing dollars, the local brewer is excited to welcome patrons to either of its area locations to enjoy a beer and a bite as our true Montana winter presses on. Both venues – the flagship Bozeman space or the new Three Forks Location – also offer nights of live music every week. Here’s a look at who’s performing in the first few weeks of 2023.
First up on Wednesday, January 4th, Trygh performs in Bozeman with music set to begin at 5pm. Order a round of your favorite brews along with a specialty pizza and settle in for an evening of acoustics.
Following on Thursday, January 5th, Montana Standard heads to Three Forks for a 7pm show. Known for their traditional bluegrass, the band’s unique twin fiddles, tight vocal harmonies and rock-solid instrumentation produce an excitingly energetic sound. Their reverence for the traditions of Bill Monroe, Flatt & Scruggs, The Stanley Brothers, Jimmy Martin and vintage country music set the stage for a great show.
The following week brings the return of Walcrik with a 5pm show on Wednesday, January 11th in Bozeman. Comprised of Andrew Morehouse and Tim Baucom, this locally based folk/bluegrass duo plays original, traditional and cover music.
Matt Walin & His Nervous Breakdown take the stage in Three Forks on Thursday, January 12th at 7pm. Fresh off the release of their debut release last summer, the four-piece produces lush, story-inspired Montana music that spotlights the trials and tribulations of rural life. Their first studio release, Ravens, is available now.
Back in Bozeman, bluegrassers Honey & Rye perform January 18th at 5pm. The Bozeman trio offers a unique twist on both modern Americana and traditional bluegrass tunes. Comprised of lush vocal harmonies paired with fiddle, bass and guitar, these musicians will keep your boots stomping and your ears listening.
And on January 19th, the Three Forks location welcomes local songwriter Peter King at 7pm. The Dead Yellers’ frontman gears his original lyrics around the human condition, love, war and self-control. His originals tell the story of honest, blue collar life in a small town. King’s influences range from the lonesome classic country sound to that of a DIY punk rock group.
Bridger Brewing provides the Gallatin Valley community with unique hand-crafted brews, fresh artisan-style pizzas, as well as a new menu of protein-rich entrées exclusive to the Three Forks location. Find a current tap list and food menus at www.bridgerbrewing.com. •
