Two spectacular, back-to-back nights of live comedy are coming to Brick Breeden Fieldhouse this month. Rescheduled from last spring, Trevor Noah delivers his “Off the Record” tour to local audiences at 7:30pm on Friday, April 28th.
Trevor Noah is the most successful comedian in Africa and was a longtime host of the Emmy Award-winning The Daily Show on Comedy Central. Under Trevor, the late-night program broke free from the restraints of a 30-minute linear show, producing engaging social content, award-winning digital series, podcasts and more for its global audience.
Trevor’s success has spanned to sold out stand-up comedy shows over 5 continents. Trevor also served as the Grammy Awards host for the last three years. Trevor has written, produced, and starred in 12 comedy specials, including “I Wish You Would” for Netflix. Another of his specials, “Trevor Noah: Son of Patricia” received a NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Variety Show, as well as a Grammy Award nomination.
Trevor is the author of the #1 New York Times bestseller “Born a Crime: Stories from a South African Childhood” and its young readers adaptation, released in 2019, “It’s Trevor Noah: Born a Crime: Stories from a South African Childhood,” which also debuted as a New York Times bestseller. The Audible edition of “Born a Crime,” performed by Trevor, was produced by Audible and remains one of the top-selling, highest-rated and most-commented-on Audible performances of all time.
A second night of comedy is set for Saturday, April 29th, when Jeff Dunham brings his “Still Not Canceled” tour to Bozeman at 5pm.
With standing ovations across cultures (winning audiences in Israel and Saudi Arabia on consecutive concert nights), Dunham has become arguably the most successful comedian over the past three decades. With millions of YouTube subscribers and Facebook followers, he has amassed over a billion views and sold over seven million DVDs.
Dunham has been named Billboard’s Top Comedy Tour three years in a row, cited by Forbes as the third highest paid comedian behind Jerry Seinfeld and Chris Rock, and has been profiled in virtually every publication, platform and late night variety show, including The Los Angeles Times, ABC’s Nightline, Variety, The New York Times, People, The Today Show, The Tonight Show and Late Night with David Letterman.
After a long pandemic pause, Dunham and his characters are finally back on the road, ready to provide a much-needed dose of absurdity given the times we live in. That is, assuming he can convince his characters that they can no longer simply work from home.
Trevor Noah tickets range $39.50–$90, while Jeff Dunham tickets are $52.50. Tickets are available in advance at www.montana.edu/brickbreeden or at the Fieldhouse box office. •
