Color, culture and community collide as the Sweet Pea Festival returns to the Bozeman area for its 2026 event, Friday to Sunday, August 7th–9th in celebration of its 49th year.
As the heart of summer arrives in the Gallatin Valley, Sweet Pea returns to Lindley Park for three days of creativity, community and celebration. Held each year on the first weekend in August, the festival transforms the park into a vibrant gathering place where locals and visitors come together to enjoy the very best of the arts. From Friday afternoon’s opening festivities through Sunday evening’s closing moments, Sweet Pea offers a welcoming blend of music, performances, workshops, family activities, flower show, Montana microbrew and wine garden, and an incredible collection of artists and makers showcasing original creations.
The celebration begins before the festival weekend even arrives, with a full slate of community events leading up to the main festivities. Artists of all ages and abilities take over Main Street for the annual “Chalk on the Walk” Tuesday morning, followed by a Sweet Pea-sponsored Music on Main downtown Thursday evening. The Sweet Pea Art Show will also be on display at ERA Landmark, offering another opportunity to experience the creativity and talent that make this event such a cherished Bozeman tradition.
And, of course, one of Sweet Pea’s biggest draws is its unforgettable live music lineup. This year’s festival will feature performances from Digable Planets, SYML, The Strumbellas, John Craigie, The Nude Party, Boot Juice, The Dead & Down, Daniel Rodriguez, Nik Park & the Selfless Lovers, Roses Pawn Shop and Neon Rainbow. With a mix of nationally recognized acts, local favorites and countless ways to celebrate the arts, Sweet Pea remains one of the Gallatin Valley’s most anticipated summer traditions.
Events leading up to Festival weekend are complimentary. Entry to those in Lindley Park requires the purchase of an admission wristband – Full Weekend Access wristbands are $40 and free for kids 12 and under. Weekend passes will be $60 beginning Aug. 7th, the first day of the festival. These may be found at the main box office, located at 424 E Main, Ste 203B.
