Bozeman Folklore Society continues its new dance season with a Halloween Family & Community Contra Dance on Saturday, October 27th at the Bozeman Senior Center. The family portion will begin at 5:30pm with caller Kristen Emmett, then stay for a potluck dinner from 6:30–7:30pm. The Contra Dance follows at 7:30pm with a 30-minute warm-up dance lesson. Live music will be provided by Chordwood Cricket.
Another Community Contra Dance is set for Saturday, November 10th, also at the Senior Center. Skippin’ a Groove will provide the tunes alongside caller Robyn Lauster. A half-hour dance workshop kicks off the evening at 7:30pm, with the main event beginning at 8pm.
Families, singles and couples are welcome to all dances. Family Dance admission is $15 per. Admission to all Contra Dances is $10, $8 for members, and $5 for MSU students. Please bring clean, grit-free, non-marking shoes to protect the floor. The Bozeman Senior Center is located at 807 N Tracy.
