Red Ants Pants to Thank White Sulphur Springs Community with Ten Year Celebration
Block Party Scheduled October 15, 2016 to Celebrate Ten Years of Rural Business;
Featuring Live Music with Rob Quist & Great Northern, Martha Scanlan & Chad Okrusch (White Sulphur Springs, Mont.) – To thank the community of White Sulphur Springs for its support and partnership over the last decade, Red Ants Pants is hosting a community block party on Main Street on October 15, 2016.
Founder and owner of Red Ants Pants, Sarah Calhoun has described her entrepreneurial journey as an “unlikely” story that has taken her from the small community of White Sulphur Springs to the White House and back twice as a nationally recognized advocate for rural businesses. Since opening its doors in 2006 in an historic building that once housed a saddle shop, Red Ants Pants has inspired spin-off ventures including the world-renowned Red Ants Pants Music Festival which helps support the non-profit Red Ants Pants Foundation.
To date, the Red Ants Pants Foundation has provided more than $65,000 in grants to people and projects that support our working family farms and ranches, bolster rural communities and expand women’s leadership. The Red Ants Pants Ten Year Celebration will feature live music throughout the afternoon and evening including Chad Okrusch of Butte who will play at 2 Basset Brewery at 4pm, award-winning singer-songwriter Martha Scanlan who will take to the Strand Theatre stage at 7pm and Montana Music Hall-of-Fame inductee Rob Quist & Great Northern featuring Rob’s son Guthrie Quist who will play at the Strand Theatre at 9pm.
At 8pm, Red Ants Pants will unveil its newest product line during a high-energy fashion show! Doors at the Strand Theatre open at 6pm. Space is limited and is first come, first served. The live events are free and open to the public as a thank you for ten years of business from Red Ants Pants. Red Ants Pants will open its doors at 10AM offering hot cider and goodies to guests along with a host of in-store specials and sales. The celebration will come on the heels of an official ribbon-cutting ceremony scheduled for 3pm on October 15th at the Meagher County Courthouse.
