Under the sapphire glow of its iconic signage, the Eagles Bar features the very best talent the Valley has to offer with regular Wednesday acoustics and weekend jamming. Here’s a look at what’s happening in the coming weeks.
Luke Flansburg fronts a solo show on October 9th. He’ll bring a wide variety of music ranging from funk to rock to blues. Also a member of Pinky & the Floyd, Tsunami Funk and MOTH, prepare for a fun set of covers and originals that will span the genres.
The Love Darts follow Oct. 11th and 12th. The hard rock punk band got its start playing venues like the Haufbrau, having since grown into a fine-tuned project featuring some of Bozeman’s most energetic guitarists. Take a listen to their self-professed “sloppy rock n’ roll” on their newly released EP, Girly.
Also on Oct. 12th, OH Hi Collective presents “Leather & Lace” in the Ballroom. The event is a tantalizing, Rocky Horror-esque dance party where daring fashion and playful kink reign supreme. Attendees: embrace a night of provocative outfits and uninhibited fun, celebrating your wild side in a vibrant, rebellious atmosphere. Tickets are $35 via Eventbrite only. Must be 21+ to attend.
Singer/songwriter Hannah Jo Lally shows off her talents on Oct. 16th. From the back roads of Eastern Washington, enjoy an evening of country cuts and distinctive originals. She draws influence from the likes of Suzy Bogguss and Charley Pride, Waylon Jennings and Mary Chapin Carpenter, among others.
Visiting from Billings, the High Country Outlaws take the stage Oct. 18th and 19th. Fused with members of two Magic City groups, the band will front a boot scootin’ set of electrifying jams and audience favorites.
Take in the acoustic stylings of local favorite Mathias on Oct. 23rd. With powerful vocals and a percussive guitar style, he’s known for his dynamic live performances full of acoustic folk, rock, and funk tunes.
The Disruptors deliver a pair of shows on Oct. 25th and 26th. The high energy band does their darndest to get audiences singing along with their wide selection of rock n’ roll tunes from the ‘60s to now.
In the Ballroom on Oct. 26th, the Countship of the ISCSM hosts the Halloween-inspired “I See Drag People” at 9pm. Celebrate the spookiest time of year with all your favorite drag performers with this spirited event ahead of All Hallow’s Eve. This is an 21+ event with a nominal admission. Bird Dog Brian Kassay brings a solo performance on Oct. 30th. The local musician mixes guitar, violin, keyboard and harmonica in creation of his unique, live-looping performances.
Exercise your pipes with the voted ‘Best’ Karaoke Night in town, sponsored by Bozeman’s Best Entertainment Group, setting up at FOE every Thursday. Sing your heart out and cheer on your friends! Sign-ups start at 9pm.
The Eagles hosts BINGO Night on Saturday evenings, with the game beginning at 6pm. Grab your friends and dobber of choice for a chance to win some extra bucks.
Make sure to check out Bridger Mountain Big Band on Sunday nights. The ensemble performs at 7pm. The 17-piece jazz orchestra celebrates the music of Duke Ellington, Count Basie and more, with original arrangements and music of all genres from the 1900s to today. Acoustic Wednesdays start at 8pm and weekend bands are on at 9pm. Head downtown for some great live music or stop into the Eagles for a cold one when the next hankering hits. •
