Bozeman Film Society continues its latest season with music-based dramedy The Ballad of Wallis Island on Friday, June 6th. The event will be held at Downtown Bozeman’s Ellen Theatre at 7:30pm.
The film follows Charles (Tim Key), an eccentric lottery winner who lives alone on a remote island and dreams of getting his favorite musicians, McGwyer Mortimer (Tom Basden & Carey Mulligan), back together. His fantasy turns into reality when the bandmates and former lovers accept his invitation to play a private show at his home on Wallis Island. Old tensions resurface as Charles tries desperately to salvage his dream gig. Rated PG-13, the film runs 100 min.

Following on Friday, June 13th, catch an Ellen screening of heartwarming comedy Friendship. The film screens at 7:30pm following an opening screening of mixed media narrative short, Paper Eyes.
Suburban dad Craig falls hard for his charismatic new neighbor, as Craig’s attempts to make an adult male friend threaten to ruin both of their lives. Starring Tim Robbins and Paul Rudd, the film is Rated R with a runtime of 97 min.
