Bozeman Film Society continues its latest season with a screening of indie drama, Tuner. The event will be held at Downtown Bozeman’s Ellen Theatre on Friday, June 12th. The film begins at 7:30pm.
Academy Award-winning director Daniel Roher’s first narrative feature stars Leo Woodall as a gifted young piano tuner whose heightened sense of hearing draws the attention of criminals, who see his talents as useful for opening safes as well as for tuning Steinways. With his once-promising musical career over, he works across New York with his mentor Harry Horowitz (Academy Award-winner Dustin Hoffman), encountering a range of characters, including composition student Ruthie (Havana Rose Liu), with whom he forges an unexpected connection. Niki’s safecracking work threatens his budding romance with Ruthie and pulls him into increasingly dangerous territory. Rated R, the film runs 109 minutes.

Following on Friday, June 26th, colorful satirical tale I Love Boosters screens at The Rialto. The film begins at 7:30pm.
Director Boots Riley delivers a wildly inventive, fashion-fueled satire set in a surreal Bay Area where a fearless crew of shoplifters turns “boosting” into an act of rebellion. Led by Corvette (Keke Palmer), the group steals luxury goods from an industry built on excess and resells them back to the community, challenging the power structures behind fast fashion and exclusivity. Packed with razor-sharp social commentary, bold visuals, and Riley’s signature absurdist humor, I Love Boosters is a rebellious cinematic joyride about friendship, resistance and reclaiming power from the systems designed to keep people out. Rated R, the film runs 115 minutes.
