February is officially GOLD month for Bozeman Film Society. With the Academy Awards right around the corner, BFS will offer a month of Oscar-nominated films and special events to movie-lovers beginning with a screening of The Brutalist on Tuesday, February 18th, at the Ellen Theatre. The film screens at 6:30pm.
Brady Corbet’s engulfing masterpiece about an immigrant architect (an Oscar-bound Adrien Brody) is considered one of the best movies of the year. When a visionary architect and his wife flee post-war Europe in 1947 to rebuild their legacy and witness the birth of the modern United States, their lives are changed forever by a mysterious, wealthy client. Rated R, the film runs 214 minutes and will include an intermission.
Later this month, BFS presents “A Week of Gold: Oscar-Nominated Film Festival” Thursday to Sunday, February 27th through March 2nd. All screenings will be held at the Ellen.
Representing a kaleidoscope of various cultural perspectives, emotional depths and bold storytelling, the film festival will showcase all five 2025 Oscar-nominated international features and all three Oscar-nominated shorts programs in animation, live-action and documentary.
Purchase an All Access Gold pass with priority reserved seating and an exclusive opening night reception at Gute Laune, or buy individual tickets to your favorite movies. Gold passes range $40–$75 and are available through Feb. 6th only. Single tickets are $11.50–$13.50 and are on sale beginning Feb. 7th. All include service fees.
The festival will also host special speakers, socials, ballots and partner restaurant deals for all attendees. Don’t miss this rare opportunity to view the 2025 Oscar nominees with fellow film lovers at the historic Ellen Theatre downtown.
