Beth Kennedy local artist and former resident of the Archie Bray Foundation is announcing Ceramic Pottery Wheel Class for adults and teens. The class is for Advance and beginners in clay wanting to further learn pottery wheel basics. Class will be using and learning on electric pottery wheels. Class will begin Monday Sept 16 night at 7pm and run for 8 weeks ending Monday Nov 4,th. Advance Forms and Wheel and Hand/ Molds starting
Wednesday Sept 18 ending Nov 7th. This class will incorporate wheel, mold forms, and your hands while deconstructing some of your pots you”ll be creating new ones. Both classes are two and one half hours long meeting weekly. They start at 7pm and ends at 9:30 pm. Instructor of class will ask students to come and practice what is taught during the week or on the weekend. Students will be shown some basic hand building to enhance the thrown forms, slip work and glazing techniques depending on the class.
Students are encouraged to keep a notebook and to attend the practice times available during the class session. If you are wanting to be creative this Fall these classes for you.
The cost for either class is $190 and includes the first 25 pounds of clay.
Does not fit into your schedule call for information on the adult morning class and the Saturday Children program.
Beth Kennedy has been teaching this and other pottery classes in Bozeman since 1993. Kennedy has a Masters degree in Ceramics. Her work has been shown through out the United States and can be viewed in the 500 Animals and 500 Hand made books published by Lark books.
