Band of Drifters, Bird Dogs & more among upcoming Pine Creekers
Come one, come all! Pine Creek Lodge is packing its outdoor stages this summer to hail the whole-chested return of live music. Here’s a look at what’s coming up.
Band of Drifters deliver their brand of modern Americana roots to the Lodge on June 17th, followed by an aftershow featuring Paul Lee Kupfer. Drifters’ sets draw from country, folk and blues traditions with an emphasis on original songs, done in the old style. Tickets are $10.
Regional favorites Laney Lou & the Bird Dogs are back with help from genre-bending Moonlight Moonlight on June 18th. The energetic Americana-folk of the Bird Dogs infuses four-part harmonies, engaging songwriting and rock-n-roll drive into its modern approach to traditional folk music. Tickets are $25 in advance, or $30 day of. An aftershow will showcase Pickin’ Pear.
Brush up on the jam classics for Dead Sky on June 19th. The local Grateful Dead tribute features members of Pinky & the Floyd, MOTH, Kelly Nicholson Band, Hooligans, Dead Yellers, SlomoJoe and more. Tickets are $25, or $30 day of.
Wisconsin-born Them Coulee Boys bring a lively performance to the Valley on June 23rd. The group crafts a brand of Americana that blends punk, bluegrass and rock & roll. This show is free of admission.
Formerly of the Dead Pigeons, Drew Peterson sets up with a solo set on June 24th. With clever, dry humor and thought-provoking lyrics, his performance style ranges from the intimate to the rowdy, always full of heart and soul. Free of admission.
Milton Menasco & the Big Fiasco are back on stage June 25th. Their music has been described as a country-fried, electric-fueled reggae explosion. The Bozeman band blends reggae, country and funk into an unforgettable sound.
Keller Williams returns to the Treasure State with a June 26th experience at Pine Creek. Seamlessly crossing the boundaries of genre, his end product encompasses rock, jazz, funk and bluegrass that always keeps the audience on their feet. Tickets are $40, or $50 day of.
Mark your calendars! Independence Day weekend is set to feature the one and only Charlie Parr on July 2nd, Red Elvises on July 3rd and The Fossils on the Fourth.
Also in Paradise Valley, Pine Creek presents its Brunch Live Music Series. The weekend offering regularly showcases regional musicians from 11am–1pm. Order some food and find a spot! Upcoming acts include: Cleo Toll on June 19th, Ryan Acker June 20th, Katie Hall June 26th and Chandler Huntley closing out the month on June 27th. These shows are free of admission and open to the public.
