Downtown Livingston’s favorite live music spot brings in acts to suit every palate – and plenty of cocktails to go with ‘em! Here’s a look at some of the upcoming artists heading up to The Attic.
The Butcher Bird opens for Jackson Holte & the Highway Patrol on Friday, October 17th. The Missoula-based rock n’ roll band is fronted by Holte, whose blend of earthy narrative songwriting and soaring blues guitar playing is complemented by Marko “The Midnight Shadow” Capoferri on bass, Tyson Gerhardt on guitar, Eric Rudnick on pedal steel, and Aaron Chiazza on drums. With a firm grounding in America’s folk traditions, the band is able to bound across genres in an authentic and emotive re-imagining of what a working rock n’ roll band can be. Their latest release, Last Rain of Summer, is out now.
Enjoy some authentic hippie music on Saturday, Oct. 18th with The Fossils. Known around town for their particular brand of boogie, the band guarantees a rockin’ good time. The members have been acquainted for years and are connected by their love of music.
Late this month, Dead Sky takes the stage for a Saturday, Oct. 25th show. The local Grateful Dead tribute features members of Pinky & the Floyd, MOTH, Kelly Nicholson Band, Hooligans, Dead Yellers, SlomoJoe and more.
All events begin at 8pm. Advanced ticketing information for other upcoming Attic shows is available at www.theatticmontana.com. The Attic is located at 110 N Main in Livingston, just above Whiskey Creek Saloon. •
