Atop Bozeman’s iconic Hotel Baxter sits a blue light. Its purpose? To flash when snow falls at Bridger Bowl, letting folks know that fresh powder awaits at their local ski hill. It’s a call to adventure and a celebration of the outdoor spirit that binds us all here in southwest Montana.
Extending the reach of that fabled strobe is the Blue Light Guide, formerly known as the MSU Pocket Guide. Re-named, redesigned, revitalized, and reborn, the Blue Light Guide is a beacon for all outdoor enthusiasts new to the Bozone, particularly MSU students.
The Blue Light brims with useful information about the outdoor life, from hiking trails and hot springs to climbing routes and gear shops. Want to know where to wet a line? It’s in there. Wondering about avalanche-education and other safety courses? It’s in there. So too are guides to gear rental, boat-buying, where to ride your bike, the best spots for camping, and much more.
The guide is also a money-saver for students. Packed with great coupons for area businesses, the Blue Light helps cash-strapped college students save cash while enjoying all the area has to offer.
Additional Blue Light features:
· 60 coupons to area businesses, with over $1000 in savings
· Charts identifying study spots and late-night eateries
· Insider tips on navigating MSU and the Bozeman area
· Maps of parks & trails, bus routes, and campgrounds
· Beautiful photographs from around the area
