As a new season settles into Southwest Montana, the Park County affiliate of the American Association of University Women will hold its “New to You” Arts & Antique Sale this month. The event will be held on March 22nd and 23rd at the Shane Lalani Center for the Arts in Livingston. Hours are from 5–8pm on Friday and 9am–noon on Saturday.
The event kicks off with a wine and cheese reception and will feature consignment and silent auction items such as art, furniture, jewelry and more. Attendees get full access to the two-day event for $10, including the Friday evening opening party and an opportunity to look at items for sale and bid on silent auction items. One member declared it “…the best party in town.” Cost for patrons wanting to attend the Saturday event separately is $5.
“One of the things about New to You is that people can come enjoy themselves, support a good cause and walk away with a great find or even a nice check,” says AAUW President Lani Hartung.
Funds raised from this popular biannual sale benefit the organization’s scholarship for a female Park County college or graduate student, Park High School’s Academic Awards Night and candidate forums.
Headquartered in Livingston, the Park County branch of AAUW was founded in 1946 and is comprised of members who work to carry out their mission as the nation’s leading voice promoting education and equity for women and girls. Learn more at aauw-mt.aauw.net. •
