The 7th annual Moms Like Me event hosted by Roots Family Collaborative will be held on Saturday, May 13th at The ELM in midtown Bozeman, as a celebration of all mothers in our community. Doors open at 4pm, with the event taking place from 5–7:30pm.
Moms Like Me will feature mothers, from our community, sharing their honest experiences of motherhood, interwoven with engaging performances from the Mom Band and a few moms with the comedic flair. Also featuring a raffle with prizes, the event is FREE and invites all mothers and those who celebrate them to attend.
Moms Like Me originated in response to a postpartum tragedy that rocked the Bozeman community in early 2016, and has since become a well-loved, community centered event for families in the greater Bozeman area to raise awareness about perinatal mental health, normalize the expectations of the perinatal period, and strengthen support networks for our growing community.
The time has always been now to celebrate mothers and through the dedication to this ever-evolving, annual event, along with on-going support groups and workshops for new families, to the yearly printing and distribution of the “Roots Perinatal Resource Guide,” local non-profit Roots Family Collaborative has stepped in to fill a glaring void by becoming the trusted connection point for both families and providers from pregnancy through early parenthood.
All members of the community are encouraged to join Roots Family Collaborative at Moms Like Me to lift up and celebrate mothers at this unique and powerful event, which creates the space to be present and witness the power of connection through storytelling and song. Bring along a friend, find those fun shoes that have been collecting dust under all the sweatpants, and let Roots celebrate you for the evening.
