Helena’s American Philosophy follow on Sept. 2nd with openers Liquid Gnar and Scavenger at 9pm. The three-piece original rock band brings over a decade’s worth of material, pushing the envelope with high-energy live performances of adrenaline-raged hard rock. Lost Ox visits from Portland for their Sept. 8th show featuring an opening set from The Scurry at 9pm. The genre-blending jammers combine elements of funk, psychedelia, jazz, Americana and progressive rock. Rooted both in the jamband resurgence of the 90s and the original 1960s psychedelic folk rock revolution, their style encompasses many familiar jam tropes, all executed and reimagined with an inspired, dauntless precision. The band has released three full-lengths – Wildheart, Earthsnake and Stuck – with a new album in the works.
Take in an evening with El Wencho on Sept. 15th at 8pm. The powerhouse duo delivers big sound that relates the Montana lifestyle through immersive lyrics, catchy melodies and driving rhythms. Their authentic music is an eclectic fusion of genres that draws on sonic elements from red dirt rock, blues, country, Americana and polyrhythmic Latin percussion. Live shows are an experiential combination of their dynamic Montana sound, engaging storytelling and comedic flair.
Electric River presents Scott Pemberton O Theory on Sept. 28th at 8pm. Rooted in the familiar yet utterly unique, this nimble power trio creates their own brand of progressive roots music blending deep jazz, blues, rock/grunge, funk and psychedelia – often during the same song. Driven by Scott’s wildly unorthodox approach to the guitar, improvisation and songwriting, every concert is an entirely fresh experience.
