Located in the beautiful Tom Miner Basin of Emigrant, Montana, B Bar Ranch is open daily this winter for cross-country skiing or snowshoeing.
With almost 20K of trails groomed for both classic and skate skiing, covering varied terrain, they have something for every level of skier – even telemark skiers can find a couple of sweet spots for cutting turns! You get all this for the bargain price of $10 per day, per skier!
If you are looking for a weekend getaway but don’t want to travel too far in winter conditions, inquire about their backcountry ski-in accommodations. With two options available, a one room canvas wall tent and a multiple room original homestead cabin, each are located approximately a mile and a half from ranch headquarters on different trail systems. Both are heated by wood stove and furnished with cot-style beds, a gas cook stove, all necessary cook and eating ware, and have an outhouse located nearby. All you need is your family and friends, skies or snowshoes, food and sleeping bag, and you will be set for an unforgettable adventure!
A fundraising event Saturday, January 30th to benefit Montana Outdoor Science School. It will be held from 9am – 4pm which lunch served from 11am – 1pm. $25 for adults, $10 for kids 7 – 12 and 6 and under free. Advance reservations are highly recommended by calling the ranch at 406-848-7729.
