Montana State University School of Art and the Helen E. Copeland Gallery are pleased to announce the opening of the 2016 Undergraduate Vox Populi Exhibition. This annual juried exhibition is a diverse and unique selection of artworks by MSU undergraduate students from across the campus. This exhibition is free and open to the public. Please join us for an opening reception on Thursday, January 28, 6:30 – 8:30 PM. Hors d’oeuvres and cash bar.
This year’s jurors are Cyndy Andrus, upcoming mayor, and Alissa Popken, Education Curator for the Emerson. Both jurors will be attending the opening. Cyndy has served as the Convention & Visitor Bureau Director for the Bozeman Area Chamber of Commerce and the Bozeman City Commissioner since 2010. Cyndy also serves on the Tourism Advisory Council, the Montana Heritage Commission and chair the Montana Arts Council. Cyndy is currently on the Board of Directors for the National Assembly of State Arts Agencies and the board of the Western States Arts Federation. Alissa Popken plans the educational programming at the Emerson cultural center, as well as curates shows and organizes special events. We would like to thank the jurors for their hard work and contributions.
As incentive for student participation, we hold a raffle open to all students who submitted artwork. The drawing will be held on Thursday, January 28 at 7:00pm.
The Helen E. Copeland Gallery is located on the second floor of Haynes Hall. Please note that the parking passes are required for parking during the business day (6AM – 6PM).
