SUMMARY:BZN Doc - The Cycle of Love
DESCRIPTION:The Bozeman Doc Series continues on Thursday\, March 5th\, at 7pm at the Emerson\, with the critically acclaimed new documentary\, The Cycle of Love. \nIn 1977\, P.K.\, a 23-year-old Delhi street artist from a poor\, ‘untouchable’ family\, picked up a handful of paintbrushes and a second-hand bicycle and set off on a 6000-mile cross-continent mission – to find Lotta\, the woman who had captured his heart. A love story like no other\, The Cycle of Love is an inspiring\, heart warming\, epic true-life adventure about the search for self-belief and risking everything for what your heart tells you. \nThe film is co-presented by the Bozeman Sunrise Rotary Club International Committee and will be preceded by a reception beginning at 5:30 in the Emerson Ballroom featuring internationally impactful\, local nonprofits\, with food\, drink\, and music by Bozambique. \nThe Cycle of Love world-premiered at the Telluride Film Festival to widespread critical acclaim. \n“Delicate and heart-warming…the kind of film whose sweet subject transcends time and borders.” Rogerebert.com \n“A great romantic adventure\, and a tale of self-empowerment…Sharing too much might spoil the fun\, but suffice to say that P.K.’s journey involves a cheap bicycle and three continents\, and that the Oscar-winning director Orlando von Einsiedel (Virunga\, The White Helmets) reconstructs the epic trip with ingenuity\, respect and tenderness.” Telluride Film Festival \n“Epic…profoundly moving…The Cycle of Love stands as one of the most romantic documentaries in years\, an inspiring true story of resilience\, destiny\, and the extraordinary lengths one man went to for the love of his life?” Next Best Picture \nDoors open at 6:30pm. Tickets are available at the door or before the show online at www.bozemandocseries.org\, where you can also buy Season Passes and 7-film punch cards\, learn more about the series\, and view trailers for upcoming films. The series will continue every other week through April\, 2026.
