SUMMARY:Zine-Making Workshop with Jade Lowder for Banned Books Week
DESCRIPTION:As part of Banned Books Week\, Country Bookshelf is excited to welcome local comic artist Jade Lowder on October 7 at 6pm for an all-ages zine-making workshop!\nZines are short\, homemade pamphlets that encourage creativity and self-expression. With roots extending all the way back to the dissident pamphlets of the eighteenth century\, zines’ role in social and political activism and punk and queer culture makes them especially relevant to efforts to fight censorship and protect intellectual freedom today. \nAll materials will be provided for this hands-on workshop! Tickets are not required for this event\, but RSVPs are appreciated. Please RSVP by reserving a FREE general admission ticket at our EVENTBRITE page.
