DESCRIPTION:Yellowstone Ballet Academy and Yellowstone Ballet Company are thrilled to announce our Montana Regional Summer Intensive with a performance at the Livingston Farmers Market on June 10th and a performance of The Little Mermaid with Fiona Lee of the Royal Danish Ballet on Thursday\, June 18th at Willson Auditorium. \nYellowstone Ballet Company (YBC) presents *The Little Mermaid* on Thursday\,\nJune 18th\, 6:30pm at the Willson Auditorium.  Kathleen Rakela\, YBC Artistic\nDirector and recipient of a prestigious Montana Arts Council Fellowship in\nthe Performing Arts\, has created an enchanting multi-media production that\nwill delight all ages\, with magical costumes\, delightful choreography\, sea\ncreatures and projected ocean images. Daniel Parker\, former conductor of\nthe Hartford Ballet\, composed the compelling score\, interwoven with Robert\nWorobec’s moving narration of the Hans Christian Anderson fairytale (not\nDisney version). \nTwo professional guest artists join area dancers from Yellowstone Ballet\nAcademy\,  YBC alumna Fiona Lee who now dances with the Royal Danish Ballet\nCompany will perform the title role  of the Little Mermaid; and Marko Mikov\nof Milwaukee Ballet will perform the Prince. \nEvery child who attends *The Little Mermaid* will receive a complimentary\nsea shell. After the performance\, parents may take pictures of their child\nwith the little mermaid and various sea creatures in a Little Nemo costume\nor starfish costume. \nTickets will be available at yellowstoneballet.info on May 10th. DESCRIPTION:Montana Shakespeare in the Parks’ summer productions will kick off in June at MSU’s Duck Pond along South 11th Avenue. Performers will bring playwright William Shakespeare’s\n“The Merchant of Venice” to the stage June 10-13\, while\n“Much Ado About Nothing” will be performed June 17-20. \nprogram will return to Bozeman for its final performance of\n“The Merchant of Venice” on Sept. 8 at Grant Chamberlain Park on the MSU campus.\nIn all this summer\, it will offer free performances in 64 communities across five states: Montana\, Idaho\, North Dakota\, Washington and Wyoming.
