DESCRIPTION:On view through July\, closing reception July 27th\, 6-8PM.\nWhat you see in these photographs are the physical\nremains of those early settlers as well as their\ndescendants who came in the decades that followed.\nWhen and why were they abandoned and how is it\nthat they\, in all their fading beauty\, have survived?\nMy aspiration to capture the “souls” of these\nbuildings\, is in some ways like chasing their ghosts;\nunearthing impressions of long-ago toils\, people\nand experiences. I remind myself that all of\nthese structures were once a part of someone’s\n“American Dream” and in that\, I strive to honor\nthese pioneers through my imagery.
