West African World Dance Thursdays, August 8 to September 26, 2024; 6:30 – 8 PMThis 8-week session is open to all levels of dancers, age 14 to adult. We will be moving to live drumming as we explore dance to rhythms from Guinea and Mali, West Africa. We will learn about the drums, the origins of the dances, the call and polyrhythms that guide and fuel the dance, and how to move to the call of the drums.
Resident cost: $160 for the sessions; $25/drop in
