Verge Theater presents AIRNESS
April 3 @ 8:00pm
An event every week that begins at 8:00pm on Friday and Saturday, repeating until April 10, 2021
Verge rock n’ rolls out of hibernation with virtual showcase
Are you ready to ROCK? Verge Theater most certainly is! Their kick-ass, live, virtual production of AIRNESS by Chelsea Marcantel will finally deliver the goods for those who’ve been jonesing for Verge entertainment during “these uncertain times.” The four-night event will run Friday and Saturday evenings, April 2nd–3rd and 9th–10th. Show time is 8pm each night and is just $20 per household (a wild steal if more than one person is watching).
AIRNESS, winner of the 2018 M. Elizabeth Osborn New Play Award given by the American Theatre Critics Association, is a loud, rowdy comedy that grants us access to the inner world of competitive air guitar!
When Nina enters her first air guitar competition, she thinks winning will be easy. But as she befriends a group of charismatic nerds all committed to becoming the next champion, she discovers that there’s more to this art form than playing pretend; it’s about finding yourself in your favorite songs, and performing with raw joy. Will Nina be able to let go and set herself free onstage? Following her mission to shred or be shredded, AIRNESS is an exuberant reminder that everything we need to rock is already inside us.
Virtual AIRNESS tickets are on sale now for only $20. Visit www.vergetheater.c
