Tours for Tots
February 23 @ 10:00am
An event every 2 weeks that begins at 10:00am on Tuesday and Thursday, repeating until February 25, 2021
MOR is excited to welcome back families with preschoolers (ages 3 – 5) in a limited capacity for in-person preschool programming! This series of tours examines different areas of the museum with an early education focus. Each program offers a chance to ask questions as we explore each subject with a hands-on activity, art project, and related story.
The same program is offered twice in one week to accommodate more families.
Face coverings are required for everyone five years of age and older and strongly encouraged for children between the ages of two and four.
Visit Yellowstone!
January 12 & 14
Join Mr. Dillon as we rediscover what the Explore Yellowstone Martin Children’s Discovery Center has to offer. We will talk about geology, art, rangers, and fishing, and have a chance to play again!
Winter Animal Adaptations
January 26 & 28
With feet of snow, below zero temperatures, and scarce food, how do animals survive the winter in Montana and Yellowstone? Join Mr. Dillon as we touch animal artifacts and play a winter survival game.
Savage Ancient Seas
February 9 & 11
Look out! Sea monsters! We will get a chance to discover some wild non-dinosaur fossils like a giant Mosasaur, an enormous turtle, and the vicious 17-foot long X-fish with our changing exhibit Savage Ancient Seas.
Spring Constellations
February 23 & 25
Spring is a great time to look for constellations in the night sky. Mr. Dillon will tell you all about Orion and Taurus, Draco the Dragon, the Gemini Twins, and more!
Programs are free and for Museum of the Rockies members only.
There is limited capacity for each program, and pre-registration is required.
