Tate Academy Winter Class Start
February 2 @ 4:15pm
Winter Classes are here!
In the interest of everyone’s health and safety, and while The Ellen Theatre undergoes some long overdue maintenance, TATE will be offering virtual classes for our Winter session. These classes will be taught through a secure ZOOM classroom, and students need to
have a good internet connection and space to move around. While we will miss seeing everyone in person, it is our sincere hope that you will join us for this opportunity!
About The Session…
One of the biggest challenges for an actor is learning to take someone else’s words
and make them their own. With that in mind, our six-week virtual session will focus on working from a script to build complex, dynamic characters. Roles will be assigned during the first class with most actors playing multiple parts. Students will be encouraged to develop and refine their characters through voice and physicality. Our goal is to film our final class so you can share your work with your family and friends!
Class Sizes Will Be Limited!
Alice in Wonderland
Lewis Carroll’s classic story is filled with vibrant, memorable characters
and offers a wonderful challenge for young actors! Join us for this fun class
and bring these delightful characters to life. Everyone is welcome and
no previous experience is necessary.

Peter Pan
The script we will use for this class is an adaptation of J.M. Barrie’s original play.
It retains much of the original dialogue and language which provides a wonderful challenge for actors. Peter Pan offers students an opportunity to give their
own interpretation to these iconic characters. Everyone is welcome and
no previous experience is necessary.
