Showing Up: Power of Connecting w/ Each Other & Ourselves

“Showing Up: The Power of Connecting with Each Other and Ourselves” will be held from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Bozeman Senior Center on Feb. 2nd.
BOZEMAN – The Mountains and Minds Toastmasters group of Montana State University, in conjunction with the Toastmasters Leadership Institute and the MSU Leadership Institute, will co-sponsor a professional and personal development conference from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, at the Bozeman Senior Center.
The event, “Showing Up: The Power of Connecting with Each Other and Ourselves,” will be emceed by local author and educator Joe Moriarty. Doors will open at 8:30 a.m. and refreshments will be provided.
A variety of trainings and presentations will be available throughout the day, including a keynote speech by Bridget Wilkinson, a TEDx speaker and executive director of the Bozeman Area Community Foundation. Wilkinson will present “The Power of Listening” and discuss how listening is the key to helping communities, family and friends work together.
Bozeman psychotherapist and educator Lori Marchak will offer a workshop, “Speaking from Your True Self,” which is designed to help participants better understand themselves and learn how to speak from a place of courage, clarity, compassion and confidence.
Kath Crumrine, a voice-over artist who has worked with several large companies such as Coca-Cola and FedEx, will teach participants how to “Play with Your Voice” for greater impact in daily affairs.
Tickets will cost $50 for early registration until Jan. 29 and $75 from Jan. 30 through Feb. 2, including at the door.
