Second String Orchestra Spring Outreach Concert

The Second String Orchestra (SSO) will present an outreach performance on Saturday, May 21 5:30-6:15pm in the Mount Ellis Academy Auditorium. The performance is free and open to the public.
The SSO is a group of diverse, amateur classical musicians who gather for the joy of playing music together. The group is led by violinist & Bozeman Symphony concertmaster Carrie Krause. This program features vocal soloist Elizabeth Croy in works by Handel, a premiere by local composer Eric Funk of a work arranged for the SSO, as well as arrangements of Take Five by Dave Brubeck, Pictures at an Exhibition by Moussorgsky, Rachmaninoff’s Symphony No 2, Copeland’s Rodeo, and pieces by Arvo Part, Lutoslawski, and female composer Ethyl Smyth. This program will also be presented at 7pm on Sunday May 22 at the Ellen Theatre; also free and open to the public.
