Notorious BOZ With Alison Yates

Notorious BOZ is a long-form improv show that celebrates the city of Bozeman, its history and its incredible citizens. Every show will feature a guest “Armando” or monologist who will share stories from their life. The cast will then use those stories as inspiration to create characters and scenes and bring it all together in a completely hilarious and improvised show!
This week’s Armando is Alison Yates! Alison is an actor, improviser and writer originally hailing from just outside Washington D.C. She received her BFA in Acting from Boston University where she fell in love with improv, Commedia Dell’Arte, mask work and all things comedy. She has also trained at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts, The Accademia Dell’Arte in Italy, Steppenwolf West, BGB, Antaeus Theatre Company, Anthony Meindl and more. She has performed in several off-Broadway shows in New York City and was noted as a top 25 up and coming theatre artist with The Old Vic New Voices Program. She was a non-equity company member with the Williamstown Theatre Festival where she started working with The Upright Citizens Brigade. She then moved to Los Angeles where she graduated from UCB, The Second City and The Groundlings improv and sketch programs. She was a frequent performer at all three theatres and has been a member of several improv teams including: The R.H.Y.T.H.M Method, Eightball, Free Sandwiches, The Rockin’ Awesome Improv show and more. TV Credits Include: Better Call Saul, Superstore, Dave, Jane the Virgin, Mom, Standup and Away! With Brian Regan, I’m Dying Up Here, Schooled, Franklin and Bash, Mary + Jane, Now We’re Talking and more. She has also appeared in national commercials for McDonalds and All State. She loves coaching actors and helping them advance their careers in the television and film industry. She now primarily lives in Bozeman with her husband and her gorgeous corgi-husky named Frank.
