MSU Wonderlust talk at Belgrade Library
September 6, 2018 @ 6:00pm
The Montana State University Wonderlust lifelong learning organization will offer a public presentation at the Belgrade Community Library at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 6, called “Clovis Burial Site in Park County, Montana.”
In 1961, while hunting marmots near Wilsall, Bill Roy Bray found a stone tool and some small infant bones covered with red ocher. In 1968, two men found the partial remains of a 1- to 2-year-old male child associated with more red ocher-covered stones. Stories surrounding these discoveries — and the twists that followed — are the focus of archaeologist Larry Lahren’s presentation.
There is no charge to attend, but registration is requested. Visit http://www.montana.edu/wonderlust and click “View all offerings.”
MSU Wonderlust, a lifelong learning organization, is part of MSU Academic Technology and Outreach. Wonderlust presentations at Belgrade Community Library are free and open to the public thanks to sponsorship by First Interstate Bank.
