MSU Off-Campus Living Resource Fair

MSU’s annual off-campus living resource fair to be held virtually Feb. 23
Montana State University’s Office of the Dean of Students, in partnership with the city of Bozeman, MSU and the city’s Good Neighbor Committee, and College Pads, an online link to off-campus properties, will host the third annual off-campus living resource fair Tuesday, Feb. 23.
The fair is designed to provide MSU students who are considering living off campus for the first time with connections to local resources, as well as education about the services and expectations that go with living in the city of Bozeman.
The resource fair will be held virtually from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. All MSU students are encouraged to attend. Participating students will be eligible to win raffle prizes and Champ Change.
For 2021, the fair will use College Pads’ Off Campus Housing Marketplace platform to host the fair virtually. College Pads is a property listing service aimed at college students. In addition to hosting the fair, the marketplace also provides students resources to prepare them for the transition to off-campus living, such as links for the MSU off-campus living website, housing, public transportation, roommate tips, student legal services, and renter’s insurance and relocation. There is also a complete renter’s education guide.
“We know that finding affordable housing in the Bozeman area is a challenge,” said MSU Dean of Students Matt Caires. “The off-campus living resource fair is one way the university is supporting our students during their ongoing transition into adulthood and to more independent living in the Bozeman community after their on-campus residence experience.”
The resource fair will include representatives from property management companies, landlords, city of Bozeman offices and MSU departments.
Businesses that are interested in participating may sign up here by Wednesday, Feb. 17.
