COST: $400 includes 26 hours of instruction, a workbook and individual support during the course. Call to inquire about sliding-scale and scholarships which are available based on need. Payment plans are also available.
The Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction course (MBSR) is an 8-week program scientifically designed to teach participants how to integrate and apply mindfulness in their daily lives and to the range of challenges arising from medical and psychological conditions and life stresses. Recent research shows MBSR reduces chronic pain and boosts the immune system; addresses painful mental states like depression and anxiety, minimizes emotional reactivity and promotes well-being. Research also finds increases in attention, concentration, sharpens mental focus, and actually increases brain grey matter in areas of problem-solving and empathy.
