SUMMARY:Mending Workshop - Day 4 of Bozeman Fashion Week
DESCRIPTION:Whether it’s your favorite pair of jeans you can’t stop putting holes in\, an upcycling project that’s been haunting you from the corner of your closet all year\, or a new-to-you item from Wednesday’s clothing-swap\, we welcome you to bring your repair projects to Studio Wheelhouse! You are welcome to drop-in anytime during the hours of the workshop. It will begin with a short talk at noon\, and hands-on help will be available from our mending volunteers until 5.\nThursday\, February 12th\nStudio Wheelhouse\n10 Evergreen Dr\, suite B\, Bozeman\, MT 59715 \n12:00-12:30 PM – Olivia & Deb of beloved downtown vintage store Rare Bird Vintage will give a short talk & demonstration on long-lasting and time period-appropriate mending techniques.\n12:30-4:30 PM – Open\, drop-in style workshop environment with hands-on help and tips-and-tricks for basic mending and sewing techniques.\n4:30-5:00 PM – Cleanup! \nWhether you come to this workshop as a complete beginner or an experienced seamstress\, all are welcome. Our volunteers will help with your repair or upcycling project to the best of their ability. If you are interested in taking more sewing classes\, please check out the variety of classes Wheelhouse offers throughout the year! \nTo maintain a welcoming and accessible environment\, tickets are available on a pay what you can system. We suggest $10 to help us cover the base costs of supplies & give back to our volunteers and community. To give more support to our media & organizing team\, or “pay for a neighbor\,” you are welcome to choose a higher ticket price or to make a donation.
