SUMMARY:Hike & Paint at Fairy Lake
DESCRIPTION:Join me for a hike and paint on the shore of Fairy Lake! This is an “en plein air” painting class\, meaning we will paint “in the open air” and create the beautiful scene in front of us.\nWhat I will bring: Upon arrival\, I’ll provide each artist with a backpack. Inside you’ll find:\n-A standing easel\n-Water jar (for painting\, not drinking)\n-Brushes\n-Paint palette\n-Canvas \nHike details: We will meet at the Fairy Lake parking lot at 9:30 AM and begin our hike at 9:45 AM\, sharp. (Please note\, we will have to walk down several stairs to access the flat trail around the lake.) We will walk ~0.5 miles or less to reach our destination. \n*Getting to Fairy Lake (45.90678\,-110.96023): Head north from Bozeman on Hwy 86/Bridger Canyon Road. Continue on road for approximately 21-22 miles. Turn west (left) for 5 miles on Fairy Lake Road\, Forest Road #74. Drive to the end of the road. \nEvent duration (~3 hours):\n– Hike in (relaxed pace) ~ 30 minutes\n– Paint ~ 2 hours\n– Hike out (relaxed pace) ~ 30 minutes \nWhat YOU need to bring (you can put these items in the backpack provided):\n– 1 liter of drinking water\, minimum\n– Snacks/ lunch\n– Comfortable hiking shoes\n– Additional clothing layers\n-Hat/visor\n– Sunglasses\n– Sunscreen \n* Important note: We will stand as we paint for the entire class. \n* If weather prevents us from painting I will email you the night before the event with a back-up date. If you can’t attend the rescheduled event I will provide a refund.
