Community Theatre returns to the Shane Center with outdoor performances of FOREVER PLAID
The Shane Lalani Center for the Arts is delighted to announce the return of community theatre with six outdoor performances of FOREVER PLAID from July 23 through August 1!
FOREVER PLAID is a witty, mischievous, and unabashedly heartwarming homage to the quaint quartet sound of the 1950s and ‘60s. High school pals Sparky, Smudge, Jinx, and Frankie are four young men who love singing harmony. They practice doo-wop and barbershop in the basement and dream about success. But on the way to their first big gig, the “Plaids” are broadsided by a school bus and killed instantly. Fortunately, thanks to a conjunction of various vague astro-technical phenomena, the Plaids are able to return to Earth, perform their final concert, and maybe even win a place in heaven. Will they overcome asthma, ulcers, and forgotten lyrics? Will they find the perfect chord?
FOREVER PLAID runs two weekends only, from July 23 through August 1. Performances take place on the outdoor stage at the Shane Lalani Center for the Arts in Livingston. Show times are Fridays and Saturdays at 8 pm and Sundays at 3 pm. Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for seniors and college students, and $10 for youth 17 and under. Fixed seating and “bring-your-own chair” seating available. Reservations are available at theshanecenter.org or by calling the Shane Center box office at 406-222-1420.
FOREVER PLAID is generously sponsored by Donald B. Gimbel, Chico Hot Springs Resort, and Yellowstone Valley Lodge & Grill.
